We all want to make …
We all want to make sense of the world around us and its hard when you see so much order around you, so many complicated wonderful things that as a child you were taught were created by your benevolent protector then as you grew you learned about sex and reproduction, why would things be created that didnt just last forever?

to all the guys …
to all the guys getting heated in the usual “god, for or against?” flame war. The beginning can not be replicated, the existence of a creator can not be proven so this is all pointless.Scientists do not generally want to remove others beliefs in a deity, they merely wish to find things out for themselves at their own pace, just let them.
Maybe they will in years to come be able to prove the existence of a godhead .
Maybe not.

…where is the …
…where is the evidence for this absolute knowledge of ‘people at the beginning’ other than your own assumption about the universe. the actual evidence goes against such an assumption. Any substantaive evidence andearliest history we have of man reveals an advanced, creative, and civilized man.

prsaldja not only …
prsaldja not only is your question hypocritcal since you are unwilling to question your own skeptical philosophy, but it is full of assumption. You say to make sure belief is ‘really yours’. Much of what we claim to know, not just believe isn’t ‘really yours’, as C.S. Lewis points out, probably 99 percent of it is based on some form of authority. In oother words, we were told, and we ultimately trusted in the answer. Also, you wrote ‘people in the beginning had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING’.Where is the e

prsaledja, I am …
prsaledja, I am essentially asking you the same question you are asking me. My answer would be yes, anyone who engages in philosophical thought, in logical thought applies a skeptical approach;but even skepticism can reach an extreme. Faith is the foundation for thought itself, for reason, and for civilization as we know it. If you are human, you doubt, bu talso, if you are human you seek answers So, my answer is yes, what about you? Are you skeptical about your own skepticism?

@prsaledja
look, i see you like to feel intellectual, challenging God’s ways at every corner. you should realize God’s ways are higher than yours, his thoughts are deeper than yours. and your questioning Him only harms you, and hardens your heart. put yourself in God’s shoes for one day, knowing everything, seeing everything. being all powerful. except keep the level of love and patience you have now.. tell me you wouldnt have killed everyone on earth out of frustration of their stupidity.

@prsaledja
no actually that isnt what i said at all. he lovingly gave them time to change their ways, in one case he told his prophet a city would be destroyed in 400 years if they did not repent. and exactly 400 years later it was destroyed, He was patient with them out of love. but then the justice of God took over. and you know, i dont think there’s anything God could do that would please you. not even letting his own son die in your place. no thats not good enough for you.. how selfish,

My opinion rests …
My opinion rests with evolution. I’m not saying god does not exist by any means. I believe that it is beyond my understanding to assume one theory or one religion to be correct over others. That is why I leave room for understanding, rather than criticism. I hope you can do the same.

Creationists always make this claim – that the information was already there. So where’s the evidence?

No, mutations are …
No, mutations are not rare at all. Every generation has numerous mutations. Most are insignificant, some are bad, and a rare few are beneficial.
All it would take for the different fur to become dominant in their population is for that population to be separated. (This could have started with bears on an island, for example). Speciation like this has been observed. Look up the apple maggot fly. Speciation occurred here with flies isolated in apple orchards, rather than their native forests.

Creationism is …
Creationism is dangerous because it cripples progress. It is the very opposite of science. As for Hitler – aside from that being a very cheap argument, it’s not even true. Hitler was a Christian and a creationist.

Isn’t the desire …
Isn’t the desire for power and fame a human flaw or manifestation of arrogance? Why should a perfect God care whether or not I believe in him based on what people tell me or what people wrote down in a book? The evidence points to evolution and an old earth. Do you believe that your God is also deceiving?

Actually, the universe is flat. A flat universe can begin from nothing because in a flat universe there is zero total energy at the beginning of the big bang.

@jodrasim so …
@jodrasim so basically you are saying that people were doing HORRENDOUS things like sacrificing the babies and god lovingly killed them all….
and concerning the numbers of people killed by god or by his direct instruction is over 2.000.000 people and that does NOT INCLUDE 65 entire CITIES which he didn’t even bother to mention their population. and i do agree with you the number is unknown but approximately how much is it 2.000.000 + 65 CITIES =???
