  8. Amastermagician Says:

    to “only2percent”– …
to “only2percent”–you are joking, right? As someone who stood at University Place and 11th St. in Manhattan and watched 9/11 happen, you couldn’t possibly imagine the tragedy or realize the insensitivity of your comment. Shame on you for not finding out the facts first. Why not take less time perusing YouTube and spend more time researching before spouting nonsense that, no doubt unwittingly on your part, could minimalize someone’s personal tragedy. Good luck: we’re counting on you.

  17. Jonhny2 Says:

    I’ve listened to …
I’ve listened to this and it was captivating! It sounded so real. The music and weather report sounded so realistic, and it got ‘interupted’ by reports of an alien invasion and death and destruction everywhere.

I can understand why someone who listened to this without hearing the introduction at the beginning would easily have thought that the martians have invaded and panicked!

  18. psynno1 Says:

    Profound response …
Profound response to Welles’s play. Sorry you think he was a ‘looser’ – by the way, you should read more books, and learn how to spell and construct sentences before commenting. Ah well, what’s the point?

    This was the …
This was the greatest radio drama ever.

Just brilliant narration, brilliant story…this blew my mind when I was a child. Most of it was that i read when people were listening to this originally, they were terrified, believing it was real…and some people even jumped out of windows to eascape the invading “Martians”. Crazy stuff for the 1930s.

By the way, the book was even better.
